I found this phrase when my good friend Max told me I should research artist Vik Muniz, just for the fun of it. On top of seeing really cool art, my mind nearly exploded with his way of explaining how the growing ways of utilizing the digital medium has affected how we see photography. I'm slowly watching this new idea creep into my pictures - that photography doesn't have to do what paintings had to do before cameras existed - and truth be told, I'm kind of enjoying it.
